Today has been fairly nice with mild temps and light winds. The morning was a bit sunny but now more clouds have moved in. We are expecting a substantial warm-up over the weekend and into next week with highs reaching into the lower 60s. We had our first snow shower yesterday evening. It all melted on contact but I could see large, white flakes falling in my yard light. Our morning is starting out with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures are very chilly and northern Michigan got their first taste of measurable snow yesterday. Today is Halloween and we finally have some decent weather for it. The past 4-5 Halloweens have been cold and rainy. We are finally seeing color on our trees after several very chilly nights. After two days of rain, it has finally stopped. Today is the big game between Michigan State and Univ. of Michigan and the weather should be dry in time for it. Our Sunday began with frost and fog. Visibility was less than half a mile until mid morning. Intermittent light showers yesterday gave us another 0.05″ of rain and temperatures haven’t made it out of the 40s yet today. The forecast is calling for highs in the low 50s. We received a little rain overnight leaving 0.05″ in my gauge. It was wet and damp first thing this morning, but the rain had stopped early.
