Temperatures fell quickly yesterday afternoon after the storms passed and lows overnight dipped below freezing. Ice covered my rain gauge this morning and there was 0.29″ from the previous storms. The rain began late last night and continued all night. There was 0.54″ in my gauge this morning and it continued until after noon. Now the rain has stopped and fog has developed. With the winds of the past several days, many of the trees have already lost their leaves. The maples and oaks seem to hang on the longest.
