Warmer Temps With Rain . . . . . .

Warmer Temps With Rain . . . . . .

We have a reprieve from the frigid temperatures of the past week, and we have lost about half of our snow pack.  There is still about three inches on the ground and a few patches of ice in the driveway.  Today will be very warm, but then the cold temps will return again tomorrow.  At this time, it is predicted that more warm weather will close out the year and into early January. Our 1:30 PM temperature is 44°F, the…

A Brief Warmup Begins . . . . .

A Brief Warmup Begins . . . . .

We can look forward for some loss of snow and warmer temperatures over the next few days.  I’m hoping that this frigid air will be gone for awhile.  Ryan Hall, YouTube weather analyst, is predicting above normal temps for the end of the month and into early January. In fact, having a white Christmas is questionable at this time.  I think I’ve had enough “white” to last the rest of winter. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 29°F. the humidity is…

More Of The Same . . . .

Our weather hasn’t changed over the past few days.  We still have mostly cloudy skies, very cold temps, and occasional light snow.  We should start seeing warmer temps beginning tomorrow, when the highs should finally rise above the freezing mark. Our 10:30 AM temperature is 17°F, the humidity is 60%, and winds are from the south at 7-14 mph.  The pressure is 19.96 in and steady.  The dew point is 5°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 21°F…

Another Very Cold Day . . . .

Another Very Cold Day . . . .

We are under the influence of another arctic blast from Canada which continues to keep our temperatures much colder than they should be.  Highs today may not even make it out of the teens.  Yesterday was partly sunny but clouds moved in overnight and we got a snow shower which didn’t give us much more in accumulation.  Thankfully, we are expecting some 40 degree weather by mid week and that should rid us of some of this snow.  We currently…

Weather Advisory In Effect . . . .

Weather Advisory In Effect . . . .

The day began with snow, then changed to rain.  Now we have snow once again.  Temperatures are remaining right around freezing but are expected to drop throughout the afternoon.  That means that there will be a lot of ice.  My rain gauge showed 0.48″ of melted precip and rain as of 8:30 AM.  Our snow pack was down to 4,5″.  The forecast isn’t calling for anymore great amounts of snow, maybe an inch. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 32°F, the…

It’s Like A Day In January . . . . .

It’s Like A Day In January . . . . .

This is much too cold for this time of year.  Usually, we’re lucky to even see any lasting snow in December.  This year it came and doesn’t show any signs of leaving anytime soon.  Temperatures are much below where they should be and it’s hard to believe it’s only December.  We received another inch of snow early this morning, so we now have about 6 inches of snow pack.  We were warned by several YouTube weather analyzers that computers predicted…

More January Weather . . . .

More January Weather . . . .

Our morning began with almost clear skies, then the clouds moved in and it has been snowing very lightly most of the day.  We had 4 inches of snow cover, received another inch overnight, so now we have 5.  There isn’t much wind and temps are hovering right near freezing, so it isn’t a bad day to be out shopping.  We aren’t expecting much change in the weather over the next week, no noticeable warming anytime soon.  I think there…

Quiet And Milder . . . .

Quiet And Milder . . . .

We are getting some relief from the frigid weather that we’ve had the past few days.  Temperatures now are closer to where they should be for this time of year. We could see some snow tomorrow but not a significant amount.  We continue to have about 3.5 inches of snow on the ground and I don’t think that it will be gone anytime soon. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 31°F, the humidity is 68%, and winds are from the west…

Continued Below Average Temps . . . . .

The frigid weather is still with us.  Last night’s temperatures dipped into the single digits but the next day or so will be a bit warmer.  This is like January.  Our morning began with clear skies but now clouds have taken over.  I hope that we don’t get anymore snow for awhile.  I have to go to Detroit on Friday, so I want the roads to be clear and dry. Our 2 PM temperature is 24°F, the humidity is 58%,…

A Very Cold Sunny Day . . . .

A Very Cold Sunny Day . . . .

Today was beautiful if you didn’t have to go outdoors.  It really feels like January and I’m hoping for a warmup soon.  It isn’t even officially winter yet and we’re having this January – February weather.  What’s worse is that there is no warmup coming in the near future according to local forecasters.  I’m just hoping that we get not additional sun this coming week. Our 5:30 PM temperature is 13°F, the humidity is 62% and skies are clear.  Winds…
