It Looks Like A Christmas Card This Morning – Mid Michigan

We received about 2.5 inches of snow overnight and everything is covered in heavy, wet snow.  I have to admit, it’s beautiful.  We still have flurries happening although we’re aren’t expecting much more in terms of accumulations.  Our temperatures will continue to remain much below average for the next week, and I’m hoping for a substantial warm-up sometime soon.

Our 9 AM temp is 30°F (-1°C), the humidity is 90%, and skies are cloudy with light snow.  The pressure is 29.78 in (1008.5 mb) and steady.  Winds are from the southwest at 6 mph giving us a wind chill of 25°F (-4°C).   Visibility is 2 miles and the dew point is 28°F (-2°C).   Yesterday’s high was 33°F (1°C) and the overnight low was 31°F (-1°C).  Averages for this date are 47°F / 33°F.  Sunrise was at 7:29 AM and sunset will be at 5:12 PM.  The record high for this date is 68°F (20°C) set in 1953, and the record low is 13°F (-11°C) set in 1997.
