A Nice Weekend For February In Mid Michigan

Saturday was a gorgeous day with clear skies all day and fairly light winds.  Today is cloudy but temps are still fairly mild and there is no precipitation in the forecast until tonight.  I understand that there are more winter storms on our horizon, probably the one that is affecting the Pacific Northwest right now.  My brother, who lives in Seattle, said that the city is at a standstill right now because of lack of snow removal equipment like we have here in the Midwest.  He measured 7 inches in his road yesterday and some other areas reportedly have as much as a foot.  That is very rare for his area.  As for us, we can expect another round of snow later this week.

Our 9:45 AM temp is 21.7°F (-6°C), the humidity is 75% and  skies are overcast.  The pressure is 30.55 in and falling.  Winds are from the SE and 6 mph giving us a windchill of 14°F (-10°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 23°F (-5°C) and the overnight low was 17°F (-8°C).  Normals for this date are 29°F / 15°F.
