A Welcome Warm-Up Coming Soon – Mid Michigan

I’m hoping that after these next few days, that we will be finished with the single digit and teen temperatures.  We are expecting highs in the forties this weekend and in the 30s all next week.  Maybe we have finally turned the corner on extreme winter weather.  Today is Ash Wednesday, and as we look forward to the Easter season, I hope the weather does also.  Yesterday was cloudy most of the day with a few peaks of the sun, but mostly a few light snow showers from the lake effect from the west.  We didn’t get any real accumulations, just quarter of an inch.  We should see more sun today.

Our 9 AM temperature is 12°F (-11°C), the humidity is 73% and winds are from the west at 6 mph, giving us a wind chill of 2°F (-17°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 30.24 in (1024.1 mb) and rising.  The dew point is 5°F (-15°C).  Yesterday’s high was 18°F (-8°C) and the overnight low was 5°F (-15°C).  Normals for this date are 37°F / 21°F.  Sunrise this morning was at 7:04 AM and sunset will be at 6:31 PM.
