Another Winter Weather Advisory For Michigan

The entire lower peninsula and part of the UP is under a winter weather advisory with anywhere from two to five more inches of snow expected, depending on where you are.  My area is in the 2-3 inch range.  Temperatures have cooled off dramatically so what snow we get won’t be going anywhere soon.  At least we aren’t getting any major storms or arctic blasts, at least not yet.  The major issue here in Michigan is water levels in the great lakes.  So many living on the shorelines are actually losing their homes to shore erosion.  It has become a real concern.

Our 10:30 AM temperature is 28°F (-2°C), the humidity is 81%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the south at 3-6 mph.  Visibility is 7 miles.  Our current snow cover is 3.5 inches.  The pressure is 30.17 in (1021.7 mb) and steady.  The dew point is 22°F (-6°C) and the wind chill is 25°F (-4°C).  Yesterday’s high was 26°F (-3°C) and the overnight low was 18°F (-8°C).  Averages for this date are 28°F / 15°F.  Sunrise was at  7:42 AM and sunset will be at 5:59 PM.
