Our First Thunderstorm Of The Year – Mid Michigan

We had a pretty significant thunderstorm last night just after midnight which dropped 0.44 in of rain.  That gave us a total of 1.32 in over the last 24 hours.  This morning is very mild and partly sunny with very little wind.  We are under a wind advisory for this afternoon with gusts expected near 40 mph.  You would never suspect it with the way it is right now.  Everything is nice and green and spring thunderstorms always seem to wake everything up.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 58°F (14°C), the humidity is 90% and most of the clouds have cleared away and the sky is now clear.  Winds are from the SE at 4-8 mph, and the dew point is 54°F (12°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.31 in (992.6 mb) and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 48°F (9°C) and the overnight low was 48°F (9°C).  Averages for this date are 47°F / 31°F.  Sunrise was at 7:22 AM and sunset will be at 8:00 PM.
