After a very dry period in Michigan’s north country, massive, heavy thunderstorms moved across the state overnight dropping over an inch of rain in many areas.  Red flag warnings were issued over the past week with the fire danger very high, so this rain was very badly needed.  The storm brought very heavy rain, constant thunder and lightning, and lasted about an hour and a half.  Yesterday was very warm and temperatures didn’t cool off until the storms rolled shortly after 4 AM.  Highs are expected to reach the 80s once again today but it is cool right now.
