Excessive Snow On The Way – Mid Michigan
We are currently under a Winter Storm Warning, and the amount of snow that we can expect, depends on who you listen to. NOAA, who is usually quite conservative, is saying that we could get up to 10 inches, but most of the local weather gurus are saying 6-8 inches for my area. The heavy snow should reach us around 5 PM and continue into the overnight. Thankfully, it should be over by morning. Temperatures over the next week should rise into the 40s, so whatever we do get will probably not last long. This has been a disappointing winter for snow enthusiasts. As for me, we had just the right amount.
Our 2:15 PM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 86%, and the dew point is 29°F (-2°C). The pressure is 29.75 in (1007.5 mb) and falling. Visibility is 10 miles and skies are overcast. Winds are from the NE at 6-11 mph. Yesterday’s high was 38°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 29°F (-2°C). Average temps for this date are 38°F / 21°F. Record temps for March 2 are 68°F / -16°F. Sunrise was at 7:11 AM and sunset will be at 6:28 PM.
