A Sunny Day But Bitterly Cold – Mid Michigan
With highs today only in the teens, we’ll take all the sun we can get. It does seem to be a little warmer and my deck is melting quite nicely where the sun is shining. Our snow pack remains at 5.5 inches, and none of it is going anywhere until possibly tomorrow. It is expected to be considerably warmer, but only for one day. But better days are on the horizon for the weekend. At least we aren’t getting the ice storms that Texas, Oklahoma, and other southern states are getting. Those people just can’t get a break where weather is concerned. February is our final month of meteorological winter, and groundhog day is fast approaching, if you give any credit to that rodent. I am noticing that it is still daylight at 6 PM now and that really seems good,. I always think of February as the month of beautiful sunsets. Not only are the days getting longer, but we start seeing more sunny days than we did in January, and that is always good for the spirits.
