The Never Ending Winter Continues In Mid Michigan
The picture was taken in Houghton, MI.
For those who love snow, they have to be in paradise this year. It just won’t quit! Pictures from the U.P. are unbelievable. I posted some on my Facebook page taken by a student at Michigan Tech up in Houghton. and I can’t imagine how they will dig out from all of that. My daughter lived up there 10 years ago and I’m certainly glad that she isn’t there now. Some areas have about 4 ft. on the level, then the drifts are much higher. As for us, we got off easy with strong winds but little snow. We received about an inch over the past two days and another 2.5″ last night. It just started snowing again and we could get another couple of inches. To add insult to injury, there is more of this on the way and is expected to last into mid March. The groundhog sure blew it this year!
Our 9:45 AM temperature is 19°F (-7°C), the humidity is 89% and skies are cloudy with light snow. Winds are from the east at 3 mph. The pressure is 30.14 in and falling. The dew point is 15°F (-9°C). Visibility is 1 mile. Yesterday’s high was 20°F (-7°C) and the overnight low was 15°F (-9°C). Averages for this date are 33°F / 18°F.
