Snow Once Again In Mid Michigan
We had rain most of yesterday, but by late afternoon, it was changing to snow. We now have a quarter of an inch on the ground and 0.36″ of total precip for the day. Yes, it looks like winter once again. On the positive side, highs tomorrow are expected to reach the upper 40s so this snow should be short lived. I’m also noticing that the grass is starting to green up and the birds have been very vocal. It’s mating season. We have a motion light next to one of our windows in back of the house. Last year, robins built a nest on top of it which is right under the eaves, giving it a lot of protection from the weather. The last few days, I’ve noticed a lot of bird activity in that nest, but they aren’t robins . . . . they are mourning doves. I guess the robins didn’t renew their lease this year.
