The past two days have brought flooding rains to the state, and we are finally going to get a couple of dry days. Our total rainfall since Thursday night was 1.84″. Many areas of the state received 2-3 inches. None of the fields in this area have been touched and many have ponds standing in them. This is a tragic growing season for the farmers to be sure. It started raining yesterday afternoon and has continued through this morning. So far, we have received 1.33″ and it’s still coming down.
