We were under a freezing rain advisory Tuesday although freezing mist was what we got. It began late in the morning and continued most of the day. Many of the schools are closed today and areas just to our north received more rain than we did. There wasn’t even enough in the gauge to measure. Winter Storm Gia is moving eastward and will be affecting the nation’s capitol today. The southwest portions of our state received up to 3 inches in various places but nothing here in Mid-Michigan. Yesterday saw highs in the 50s once again with intermittent rain showers in my area. Winds were the big issue with gusts reaching 50 mph in some areas.
