Although we only received half an inch, it looks very white out there. Our high today is expected to only rise to around freezing, so it may last until tomorrow. Local weather gurus are saying that there has to be at least an inch to be considered a “white Christmas” but regardless, it sure looks white to me. Friday was a drizzly, damp, gloomy day, but the temperature dropped enough at night to turn the rain into snow. We only received about 1/10 of an inch but at least it brightened up the landscape a bit. Highs today will only make it into the low to mid 30s with snow flurries in the forecast. When I got up this morning at around 7:45, we had light sprinkles.. Since that time it has turned into a steady light rain. The forecast was for rain after 10 AM so it arrived early.
