The fog has finally dissipated after three days. Skies began to clear yesterday in the late afternoon and the humidity dropped. There is no precipitation in our forecast but I doubt that we’ll see much sun either. Forecasters are now saying that there is a chance that we’ll have snow for Christmas and I hope it happens. Visibility is about 1/4 of a mile right now and a freezing fog advisory is in effect. I went out on my deck this morning and it was not slippery although there was a little ice on the railings. The water in my rain gauge was not frozen so it seems that temperatures did not fall much below the freezing mark overnight. Today is expected to be a rather tame day weather-wise with plenty of sun but very chilly temperatures. We had intermittent light snow showers most of the day Wednesday, and this seems to be what we can expect today. What a joy to see the sun this morning and almost no clouds in the sky. Looking out, it almost feels like a warm late autumn day, that is until you step out there.
