We received a little over two inches of wet, heavy snow overnight giving us a total of 6 inches of ground cover at this time. Finally, the frigid air is being replaced by more seasonable temperatures. This coming week could see highs in the 40s and that will seem very balmy compared to what we’ve been having. The deep freeze continues, not only in Michigan, but most of the eastern U.S. There is even snow in the forecast for northern Florida. There seems to be no end to these snow showers. Every day we pick up another 1/2 inch or so, just enough to keep roads icy. Most is lake effect. We currently have about 4 inches of snow cover.
