Mid Michigan Weather

We had light snow most of Thursday and we gained another half inch of snow cover.  We now have about three inches.  This morning actually felt warm with no wind and the overnight low didn’t fall below zero for a change.  Unfortunately, it isn’t going to last.  Highs will remain in the teens and a high only in the single digits expected on Sunday.  Extended forecasts are telling us that this will possibly continue into mid January.  On the positive…

This bitterly cold weather is getting old.  I can’t remember when it has been this cold for such an extended period of time, and there is no end in sight.  The snow doesn’t bother me that much, but I hate this extreme cold weather.  Skies were clear and everything was covered with frost this morning in addition to the snow.  It looked pretty but sure didn’t feel that way.  It was -7° when I got up and has warmed up…

We had snow most of Sunday and even Christmas Day.  Between the two days, we have about 4 inches of snow cover.  Today is sunny but it does nothing to make going outdoors more bearable.  It was -6°F when I got up this morning and the expected high was on 8°F.  My thermometer is reading a bit higher than that now, and it doesn’t appear to be in the sun.  Regardless, it is bitter cold out there and we don’t…

Our Christmas Eve day is starting out with very cold temps and a little snow.  We haven’t received  any accumulations yet, but we could get up to three inches by tomorrow.  So at this time, it looks like we could get our white Christmas after all.  It has just now started snowing and radar is showing that it won’t stop anytime soon.  Our temperatures, however, will only make it in the  low to mid 20s.
