For a change, my area got some much needed rain. There was just under an inch in my gauge this morning and rain remains in the forecast for this afternoon. There were numerous thunderstorms in Michigan yesterday, but they all managed to miss my area. Pictured is one of the storms which passed to our west. At the same time, another was passing to our east but we didn’t get a drop of rain. We were like the meat in a sandwich. Then later in the afternoon, the sun came out and skies cleared. The only rain that we received on Friday were a few, widespread drops that were barely noticeable. The southern counties and the thumb area of the state had some pretty strong thunderstorms but I haven’t heard of any damage reports.
