Another Day of Thunderstorms Along With Some Sun – Mid Michigan

Have you ever noticed that these small cells of thunderstorms can be the most damaging?  They aren’t much more than a blip on the radar, but produce heavy rain, strong winds, and even tornadoes sometime.  That’s what happened yesterday.  We were under a weather advisory for a little while which  claimed that we had a significant storm heading our way which could produce damaging winds.  No warning, just an advisory.  Regardless, we did get a little rain from it but most stayed to our south.  Today looks to be about the same with storms already showing on radar.  Right now it’s beautiful out with plenty of sun and it is quite breezy.  We only received 0.15″ of rain yesterday and most of that came overnight.  We are heading up to the campground tomorrow and I’m hoping that the weather is decent for traveling.

Our 11:15 AM temperature is 82°F (28°C), the humidity is 72%, and winds are from the WSW at 5-9 mph.  Skies are partly cloudy.  The dew point is 69°F (21°C) and the pressure is 30.13 in (1020.3 mb) and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 84°F (29°C) and the overnight low was 69°F (21°C).  Averages for this date are 79°F / 57°F.  Total rainfall for June so far is 7.67″.  Sunrise was at 6 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
