Fire Danger, Possible Severe Weather . . . . .

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Red Flag Warning until 8 PM.  It seems to me that we’ve had enough rain lately to avoid fire danger, but the dew points have been very low, and it has been quite windy.  The area expected to have severe weather over the next few days, does include us although the threat is quite low at this time.  Regardless, we should be award of weather conditions today.

Our 12:15 PM temperature is 61°F (16°C), the humidity is 42%, and winds are from the east at 5-9 mph.  Skies are mostly clear with a thin cloud cover.  The pressure is 30.24 in (1024.1 mb) and steady, and the dew point is 32°F (0°C).  Yesterday’s high was 71°F (22°C) and the overnight low was 42°F (6°C).  Average temps for this date are 57°F/36°F.  The record high for April 15 is 84°F (29°C) set in 2003, and the record low is 14°F (-10°C) set in 1875.  Sunrise was at 6:53 AM and sunset will be at 8:21 PM.
