We thought it was bad yesterday, but the smoke in the air seems even worse today.  Many outdoor events are being cancelled and this situation is really getting everyone upset.  Canada has to do something about these fires.  Summertime is for outdoor living and this sure hampers any camping plans.

Our 3 PM temperature is 87°F, the humidity is 44%, and winds are from the SSE at 4-6 mph.  The pressure is 29.89 in and falling and the dew point is 61°F.  Skies are grey with smoke but the sun is filtering through.  Visibility is only one miles.  Yesterday’s high was 86°F and the overnight low was 61F.  Record temps for July 16 are 97°F (2016) and 48°F (2015).  Sunrise was at 6:13 AM and sunset will be at 9:12 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

This Afternoon:  Partly cloudy with widespread smoke.  A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible.  Highs in the upper 80s.  Winds SSW at 5-10 mph.  Chance of rain 10%.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy with areas of smoke.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.  Lows in the lower 70s.  Winds SW at 5-10 mph.

Saturday:  Sun and clouds mixed.  Areas of smoke and haze possible.  Highs in the upper 80s.  Winds W at 10-20 mph.
