Another Air Quality Alert Day . . . .

Our air today is very smokey.  It looks like fog, but it’s smoke.  We are warned not to go outdoors anymore than necessary and to wear a mask if possible.  At least it has cooled down a bit from the previous two days.  The fires are mostly in Canada but I think there is one in northern Minnesota also.  We had some thunderstorms develop to our northwest late yesterday afternoon, but no rain.  They managed to slip just to our south.

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 83°F, the humidity is 37%, and skies are grey with smoke.  Winds are from the NNW at 0-5 mph and the pressure is 29.92 in and steady.  The dew point is 55°F and visibility is 1 mile.  Yesterday’s high was 99°F and the overnight low was 64°F.  Average temps for July 15 are 82°F/60°F.  Record temps for July 15 are 99°F (yesterday) and 42°F (2007).  Sunrise was at 5:38 AM and sunset will be at 9:13 PM.

DURAND /OWOSSO FORECAST:

This Afternoon:  Mostly grey skies from smoke with some sun.  Reduced visibility at times.  Highs in the mid 80s.  Winds NNW at 1-5 mph.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy with widespread smoke.  Lows in the lower 60s.  Winds light and variable.

Friday:  Partly cloudy with a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm.  Highs in the upper 80s.   Winds light and variable becoming S at 1-5 mph.
