This afternoon is very warm and quite windy. We have a pretty good chance for some afternoon or evening thunderstorms to develop and some could be heavy. Yesterday’s weather was perfect with highs in the upper 70s and a nice breeze. Skies were clear all day. We do need rain and it has been pretty sparse lately. Today began with a few drops of rain but not enough to even measure. Southern Michigan got hammered with heavy thunderstorms, measuring well over an inch in many places. A line of heavy, severe storms moved to the southeast, from Wisconsin, through Illinois and Ohio, and just brushed the southern counties of Michigan. All my kids were home for the weekend and we made a big fire last night in celebration of our country’s birthday.
