The snow began yesterday around 1 PM and we had whiteout conditions at times. It is light and fluffy, so easy to shovel. We received 3 inches of new snow and our snow cover is now about 5.2 inches. We had a one-day respite from winter yesterday with highs reaching the low to mid 40s. We lost about half our snow cover but now what is left is hard and crusty. We received 2.5 inches of snow overnight and I woke to sleet. There didn’t seem to be any freezing rain however.
