Sunny But Chilly . . . .

Sunny But Chilly . . . .

We had cloudy skies and light rain early yesterday, but we did have a few peeks of the sun in the afternoon.  Today is sunny but temps won’t quite make it into the 70s.  That still puts highs for the day above average, so we can’t complain.  Severe weather continues to hammer the same areas of the country, and we continue to have beautiful weather here.  It doesn’t seem fair, does it? Our 10:30 AM temperature is 60°F (16°C), the…

More Rain . . . . .

More Rain . . . . .

We had a little rain overnight, and we have on-and-off again sprinkles at this time.  A thundershower is even possible and our temps are expected to reach the low 70s.  Looking at the radar, most of the rain is north of us, but there is a narrow  rain band heading our way.  I guess we can expect this most of our day.  Tuesday and Wednesday appear to be dry at this time. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 74°F, the humidity…

More Rain . . . . .

More Rain . . . . .

The past several days have been a nightmare for those who live in many states in the central areas of the country.  Looking at the NOAA forecast map, it doesn’t appear to be over just yet.  Tornadoes have been unrelenting but we have been very lucky.  I’ve been doing a virtual ride-along with many of the storm chasers via YouTube, and it’s really sad what those folks are going through.  So many have lost everything.  Here in Michigan, we’ve had…

Strong Storms Possible . . . . .

Strong Storms Possible . . . . .

The weather system which brought destructive storms to Nebraska and Iowa yesterday, will be affecting our weather today.  Although the chance of tornadoes is slim, we could see some very strong storms, especially the northern half of the state.  We had rain overnight which left 0.24″ in my gauge.  Temperatures will be very warm over the next week and rain is in the forecast every day.  The mid section of the country could see a repeat of yesterday, and my…

A Great Spring Day . . . .

A Great Spring Day . . . .

Today is a typical spring day.  Highs should reach the mid 60s and clear skies with maybe a few clouds.  We could see some rain overnight but today should be dry.  My flowering crab tree is in full bloom and we should start hearing the buzzing (bees) very soon.  All the flowering trees,  this time of year, makes it a great time to take a ride. Our 1:30 PM temperature is 63°F, the humidity is 34%, and skies are clear. …

Lovely Day In April . . . . .

Lovely Day In April . . . . .

We have plenty of sun and very light breezes.  It could be a few degrees warmer but I’m not complaining.  Our weekend looks to be very warm but with it comes the rain.  Some YouTube weather sites are showing us in the severe weather area, so I hope that doesn’t happen.  The Dixie Alley area seems to be getting hit hard almost every day, and that would get old for me very quickly.  I like a good storm every so…

Another Cold Front . . . .

Another Cold Front . . . .

Once again, our temperatures have tumbled below average, although it won’t last.  Today will feel like a March day and so far there has been no sun.  There is a freeze warning for tonight although I don’t think it matters much.  The flowers that we have right now are pretty frost resistant.  This is normal for April in Michigan.  We had rain yesterday which measured 0.35″ in my gauge, and a little thunder to go with it.  No more rain…

Rain Expected . . . . .

Rain Expected . . . . .

Our morning has been cloudy, and rain is expected for this afternoon.  We did receive a little overnight, but now it is dry and windy.  One of the YouTube weather forecasters said that my area could get tornado weather late Friday.  That’s still a few days away and we’ll see how that works out. Our 12:45 PM temperature is 60°F (16°C), the humidity is 52%, and winds are from the SW at 7-17 mph.  Skies are cloudy and the dew…

Sunny And Warmer . . .

Sunny And Warmer . . .

Today will be much improved from the last two, with plenty of sun and warmer temps.  Winds will still be a bit brisk, but with the warmer temperatures, it won’t feel as cold.  There is no  rain in the forecast until late tomorrow.  The lawn was mowed Saturday, so we’re ready for more rain. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 55°F, the humidity is 47%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the SW at 3-7 mph, and the pressure is…

Looks Like Spring . . . . . .

Looks Like Spring . . . . . .

Our Saturday was mostly cloudy and cold.  Strong winds made it even feel colder.  Today will still be windy but temps will rise higher, so should be more pleasant.  There is no rain in the forecast until Tuesday, and temperatures will be on the rise all week. Our 10:15 AM temperature is 44°F, the humidity is 53%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the west at 5-13 mph.  The pressure is 30.11 in and steady, and the dew…
