This morning is tranquil but that is expected to change as the day goes on. The remnants of Tropical Storm Alberto will be moving in over us late today and early tomorrow. Today should be a little cooler but still 15-20 degrees above the average; much cooler temps are expected by week’s end. Yesterday was lovely but more severe storms developed in the late afternoon over the central areas of the state. They moved to our northeast and we were not affected. Yesterday was a beautiful day but a rogue thunderstorm moved in shortly after 10 PM last night. It was a small cell which came from the NNW dumping 1.19 inches on us along with a lot of lightning. We were under a severe thunderstorm warning for about half and hour but there was no strong wind or hail. The lightning was frequent but no strikes close by. After a very warm Thursday, today is expected to be even warmer with highs in the upper 80s. The past two days have been wonderful with clear skies and low humidity.
