We have gorgeous weather for our holiday weekend with summer-like temperatures. Today should reach the low 80s and highs near 90°F tomorrow. Today feels like a day in July with the air so full of moisture. We have had stop-and-go rain since this morning, although showers are becoming more numerous as the afternoon wears on. I went out and bought more perennials today, as I’m trying to change all my gardens to them so I don’t have to keep replanting every year. It seems like our weather just cannot warm up and stay there. We have constant roller-coaster temperatures which are causing too much rain as well as severe storms. Gaylord, MI was hit by an F3 tornado on Friday, and that is a rarity for northern Michigan. Tornadoes aren’t really uncommon there, but one that strong certainly is.
