The storms that rolled through southern Michigan yesterday certainly left their mark. Fortunately, my area was spared from much of the damage, but other areas, including Detroit weren’t as lucky. My daughter lives in Wixom and she is still without power. The storms moved fast and caused destruction from around Midland south. The Detroit area appears to have gotten the worst of it. Yesterday was a rather strange day with popup showers and thunderstorms. Through the day, we heard plenty of distant thunder but we only had one shower which dropped 0.06″ of rain in the afternoon.
