A Slight Warm-up For Today . . . .

A Slight Warm-up For Today . . . .

We can expect highs into the low 60s today.  That’s a little better than yesterday, and there is no rain in the forecast.  We did have a few sprinkles yesterday, but mostly, it was just cold.  We can expect much better weather for the weekend and into next week. Our 11:45 AM temperature is 55°F, the humidity is 66%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the NW at 2-7 mph, and the pressure is 30.16 in and rising.  The…

Rain Done But Still Cold … . .

Rain Done But Still Cold … . .

After a miserable, wet day Thursday, today is a little better.  At least the drizzle has stopped but temperatures are still much below where they should be.  The sun tried to come out a little bit but not much success yet.  Highs today will only reach the mid 50s, which is about 15 degrees colder than what they should be.  We’re still having to use the furnace in the morning.  Anyone going up north this weekend will have pretty chilly…

Still Raining . . . .

Still Raining . . . .

Our rain continues today with no letup until the weekend.  Along with it comes cold temperature.  It feel more like late March than late May.  At least it isn’t snowing.  All in all, it’s just miserable weather and I hope that June is better.  This has been one of the stormiest springs that I can ever remember.  We have had more tornadoes than we usually get in an entire year.  Anyone with outdoor plans for the weekend better take a…

Not much more I can say about today except that it’s cold and wet.  There was 0.74″ of rain in my gauge at 8:30 this morning, and light rain has continued since then. Our 12:30 PM temp is 48°F, the humidity is 97%, and skies are overcast with light rain.  Winds are from the NE at 2-6 mph, and the pressure is 29.53 in and falling.  The dew point is 47°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 58°F…

Rainy And Cool . . . .

Rainy And Cool . . . .

This weather feels more like early April.  Temps are far below where they should be for this late in May.  A little rain has moved in and this is expected to last until Friday.  The cool temps will remain through the holiday weekend. Our 3 PM temperature is 54°F (12°C), the humidity is 60%, and skies are cloudy with light drizzle.  Winds are from the east at 6-8 mph and the pressure is 29.86 in (1011.2 mb) and falling.  The…

Below Average Temp For The Week Ahead . . .

Below Average Temp For The Week Ahead . . .

As severe weather continues to plague much of the country, we have cooler than normal temperatures.  At least that will keep our weather peaceful.  Much of Michigan is cleaning up after our round of tornadoes last Thursday night, so no storms this  upcoming week will be a blessing. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 59°F (15°C), the humidity is 70%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the NW at 4-8 mph and the pressure is 29.83 in (1010.2 mb) and…

A Cool-Down After The Storms . . . .

A Cool-Down After The Storms . . . .

The weather service has now confirmed that Michigan had 10 tornadoes Thursday night.  That number may rise with more investigation.  Prayers go out for the tornado victims in Kentucky and Missouri yesterday.  St. Louis was hit hard.  We had some severe weather also but nothing like Thursday night.  There are still many without power.  We were very lucky here where I am. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 55°F, the humidity is 79%, and skies are overcast.  We had a few…

Storms Didn’t Disappoint . . . . .

Storms Didn’t Disappoint . . . . .

After a very stormy nights, we woke to clear skies and bright sunshine this morning.  The storms rolled through my area between 11 pm and midnight.  They brought heavy rain and strong winds with them.  I think my area got off easy and I haven’t heard of any significant damage nearby.  There were tornado and severe storm warnings for about 4-5 hours, mostly to our western counties.  There were many reports of possible tornadoes but we have to wait for…

Severe Storms On The Way . . . . .

Severe Storms On The Way . . . . .

We have been warned for the past week that tonight may be challenging for us weather-wise.  Conditions will be good for severe storms moving across our state.  My area is right on the line between the major threat and the lesser threat, if that means anything.  The storms are expected here at around midnight. Our 2 PM temperature is 80°F, the humidity is 56%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the SE at 4-6 mph, and the pressure…

Rain In Our Forecast . . .

Rain In Our Forecast . . .

After a dry Tuesday, I think that we may see some rain today or tonight.  Some areas got quite a bit of rain yesterday, but all we got was a slight period of mist.  Everything is nice and green and still damp from last week’s rain, and they are still telling us that we could see strong or severe storms late tomorrow.  We’ll just have to wait and see on that one. Our 11 AM temperature is 71°F, the humidity…
