Thunderstorms For Our Afternoon . . . .

Thunderstorms For Our Afternoon . . . .

We just had a thunderstorm pass us.  We were under a severe TS warning, but were in Owosso.  They just got the edge of it, bu here at home, there is three quarters of an inch in my raid gauge, so it seems like most of it passed right over us.  As far as being severe, I don’t see any signs of strong winds so it couldn’t have been too bad. Our 3:30 PM temperature is 76°F, the humidity is…

Typical Summer Day . . .

Typical Summer Day . . .

Today will be the type of day that you think of when you think of summer.  There will be plenty of sun and very warm temperatures.  It will be perfect for a day at the beach or on the boat.  This upcoming week is expected to be warm, but not extremely hot.  There is a chance for more stormy weather tomorrow but  we’ll wait and see on that one. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 80°F, the humidity is 63%, and…

Great Weather For Our Saturday . . . .

Great Weather For Our Saturday . . . .

Our morning is starting out with clouds, but we should see some clearing as the day goes on.  The best part is that our temperatures will be comfortable with lower humidity.  It’ll be a good day to give the AC a rest.  But Mother Nature will give us one more day of excessive heat tomorrow, then hopefully, no more for awhile. Our 11:15 AM temperature is 72°F, the humidity is 70%, and winds are from the west at 5-8 mph. …

More Storms, Possibly Severe . . . .

More Storms, Possibly Severe . . . .

Yesterday was a relief from the very hot weather, but it has returned today.  Popup showers and thunderstorms were around most of the day, but we didn’t get one until late last night.  It looks like today will bring more of the same.  Temperatures, humidity, and dew points are ripe for severe weather, but right now, skies are partly cloudy and it is breezy.  We did get just under quarter of an inch of rain last night, and I’m sure…

More Heat For Us . . . .

More Heat For Us . . . .

After a much cooler Wednesday, today the heat is back on.  Conditions are right for popup thunderstorms, and some could even be severe.  This morning was mostly clear but now clouds are moving in.  Storm cells are already forming on radar but they are all to our south at this time.  I’m sure, with this heat and humidity, we’ll see some by day’s end. Our 12:15 PM temperature is 85°F, the humidity is 72% and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds…

Stormy Weather . . . .

Stormy Weather . . . .

Yesterday began with sun, then became stormy in the late afternoon.  We were under a severe TS warning for awhile, but what we got was a mega rainstorm which dumped over an inch of rain on  us in about an hour.  It wasn’t a severe storm by any means, just a very wet one.  It did, however, bring the temperatures down which was a blessing.  At the final moments of the storm, the sun came out and we had a…

Another Heat Advisory Day . . . .

Another Heat Advisory Day . . . .

I hope that hot weather lovers are enjoying this, because I don’t think that most of us are.  I’m so thankful for air conditioning.  I wouldn’t be able to sleep without it.  My thoughts go out to the road construction workers who have to do their jobs in this heat.  At least it will cool down a little after today. Our 9:30 AM temperature is 84°F, the humidity is 66%, and winds are from the SW at 4-9 mph.  Skies…

The Heat Is On . . . .

The Heat Is On . . . .

We are under a heat advisory with heat indexes reaching triple digits.   Yesterday felt like walking into a furnace and today, and the next few days, won’t be much better.  They are saying that we could break some records today and tomorrow, and that wouldn’t surprise me.  This is a good day to spend it at a lake somewhere, with plenty of sun block. Our 9:15 AM temperature is 83°F, the humidity is 73%, clear skies, and winds are from…

Extreme Heat Watch . . . .

Extreme Heat Watch . . . .

After a very stormy past two days, we should see quite a bit of sun and very warm temperatures in our near future.  Thunderstorms are a possibility but nothing severe is expected.  We had a lot of rain Wednesday and even a tornado in the Detroit area.  Out total rainfall for the past two days was 1.14″.  This  morning is cloudy with a few peeks of the sun.  There isn’t much precip showing on radar at this time. Our  9:15…

Significant Storms Expected Today . . . .

Significant Storms Expected Today . . . .

A round of severe storms is likely later today.  Radar now is showing small cells developing in various parts of the state.  We just had a quick shower and I’m sure there’s a lot more coming.  It is significantly cooler today, and that makes me very happy since our AC went out yesterday.  The repair man can’t come until this afternoon.  So it won’t be too bad. Our 10 AM temperature is 71°F, the humidity is 91%, and skies are…
