More Of The Same . . . .

More Of The Same . . . .

Our wonderful summer-like weather continues with no end in sight.  There is a minimal cool front coming tomorrow and Thursday, where highs will only reach the low to mid 70s.  But then on Friday, we’ll be back in the 80s once again.  I’m sure that there will be some records broken by the end of this week. Our 3:30 PM temperature is 80F, the humidity is 33%, and winds are from the NE at 2-8 mph.  The pressure is 30.19…

Beautiful October Weather . . . .

Today is about as nice as it can be.  Temperatures are perfect and breezes are light.  There is no rain in sight and the sky is clear.  Above normal temps prevail with continuation over the next week.  It will be October in a few days and it still looks and feels like late summer.  We’ll take it! Our 1:15 PM temperature is 75°F, the humidity is 46%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the NNE at 0-2 mph, and…

Time For A Dry Spell . . . .

Time For A Dry Spell . . . .

For the first time in a long time, we have no rain in the foreseeable future.  Also, temperatures will be much above normal.  Summer keeps hanging on with no end in sight.  I’m not complaining,  and there is no rain in sight either.  We still have very little color considering it’s the end of September.  Maybe we’ll be skipping autumn this year. Our 1:30 pm temperature is 79°F, the humidity is 47%, and winds are from the SW at 5-7…

A Little Rain To Start The Day .. . . .

A Little Rain To Start The Day .. . . .

Our morning began with a thunder shower which gave us 0.09″ of rain.  Then it passed and skies partly cleared.  The current radar is showing more forming to our our southwest but I’m not sure how much of those we will get.  We heard last night that a waterspout formed  over Torch Lake, near Traverse City, then moved on land to become Michigan’s 31st tornado of the year.  Luckily, no one was injured and I haven’t heard if there was…

More Rain Expected . . . .

More Rain Expected . . . .

We had very little rain yesterday, only 0.09″. That’s fine because we have received more than our share this summer.  Some drought stricken areas finally got some, but could use much more.  We have rain in the forecast for much of this week, so hopefully, it will go to those areas that need it. Our 1:30 PM temperature is 73°F, the humidity is 79%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the SW at 3-5 mph, and the pressure is…

Showers And Thunderstorms . . . .

Showers And Thunderstorms . . . .

We have cloudy skies and some light rain this morning.  Now the rain has ceased but cloudy skies remain.  Every so often the sun peeks out, and that adds to the thunderstorm threat.  We aren’t expecting anything severe but we could have some pretty strong winds with some of them.  Radar is showing most of the rain past us at this time, but that doesn’t mean that more can’t develop.  So far, we’ve only gotten 0.07″ of rain. Our 2:15…
