Another “Teaser” Day . . . .

Another “Teaser” Day . . . .

Yesterday was one where Mother Nature is telling us that winter is coming to an end, but not just yet.  This morning still feels spring-like but it won’t last long.  In fact, snow is in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight.  At least, this time of year, you know that it won’t last long. Our 10AM temperature is 33°F, the humidity is 56%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the north at 2-9 mph and the pressure…

We lost quite a bit of snow yesterday and today, even though temperatures weren’t that warm.  With the sun out, it makes a difference.  We are supposed to have a substantial warmup next week, so the snow that is here now will probably be gone.  By the first of March, most of us are tired of it anyway. Our 3:30 PM temperature is 33°F, the humidity is 47%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the south at 4-11…

Some Sun, Some Clouds . . . . .

Some Sun, Some Clouds . . . . .

Our morning temps rose slightly above freezing, but now are holding in the low 30s.  What was shoveled on the deck is melting a little, and some sun is showing though breaks in the clouds.  We had a little snow a while ago, but not enough to really matter.  There is some warmer air coming this weekend and into next week.  So that’s something we can look forward to. Our 2:15 PM temperature is 30°F, the humidity is 67%, and…

A Sun And Cloud Mix . . . . .

A Sun And Cloud Mix . . . . .

Yesterday brought early snow showers, then partial clearing in the afternoon.  There was no new snow accumulation, and we continue to have about an inch of snow cover at this time.  Today began with sun but now clouds have taken over and we do have the possibility of a few more snow showers.  Tomorrow is expected to bring more snow and we could see an addition to our snow cover amounts. Our 4:30 PM temperature is 32°F, the humidity is…

Another Snowy Day . . . .

Another Snowy Day . . . .

What began as rain late yesterday, turned to all snow by this morning.  There was about an inch on the deck, and it has continued snowing since then.  I estimate that we have about 2 inches and still coming down.  Temps won’t warm up much through the week until Friday.  Then we should be back in the 40s again. Our 2:30 PM temperature is 32°F, the humidity is 80%, and skies are cloudy with moderate snow falling.  Winds are from…

A Chilly, Cloudy Day . . . . .

A Chilly, Cloudy Day . . . . .

We lost our spring weather for awhile, but at least temps are above freezing.  All the snow is gone although there is more expected tomorrow.  NOAA is predicting about an inch, but local forecasters are saying as much as three inches. I’m tired of snow. Our 3:45 PM temp is 33°F, the humidity is 73% and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the west at 2-4 mph and the pressure is 29.92 in and rising.  The dew point is 24°F…

From Record Warmth To More Winter Weather.

From Record Warmth To More Winter Weather.

The past few days brought a medley of weather., including rain, fog, high winds, and even hail in some areas.  Dense fog on Wednesday lingered well into the overnight hours.  Yesterday started out with fog, then cleared up a little through the afternoon.  Thunderstorms developed bringing hail to some areas.  All we got was some distant thunder and a little rain.  There was about half an inch over the past two days and just a little drizzle today. Our 2:45…

Very Springlike . . . .

Very Springlike . . . .

Today is absolutely gorgeous and it really feels like spring is in the air.  Highs will reach into the 50s through Wednesday, then more cold air will overtake once again.  I’m hoping that this exceptionally warm weather won’t result in tornadic thunderstorms.  Unfortunately, it happens when it gets too warm too soon. Our 2:45 PM temperature is 56°F, the humidity is 56%, and winds are from the SSW at 6-8 mph. The pressure is 29.74 in and falling.  The dew…

A Pleasant Late February Day . . . .

A Pleasant Late February Day . . . .

Today really feels like spring.  Yesterday was very nice also and we’ve been losing our snow pack little at t time.  We now still have about 2-3 inches and quite a few bare spots.  We are expecting warm temperatures most of this week, so I’m sure that most, if not all of our snow pack will be gone. Our 2:30 PM temperature is 50°F, the humidity is 49% and winds are from the SE at 0-6 mph.  The pressure is…

Almost Spring-Like . . . .

Almost Spring-Like . . . .

Yesterday was beautiful and it looks like today will be also.  Temperatures are getting warmer each day and it looks like this will continue through the rest of February.  We could see highs near 50F this afternoon and there is no precip in our forecast until Wednesday, and that is expected to be rain. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 38°F, the humidity is 64% and skies are mostly clear with some high clouds.  Winds are from the north at 2-3…
