Yesterday was very windy with gusts close to 50 mph in parts of the state. Today isn’t quite as windy but still expecting gusts close to 40 mph. Skies were clear early but now the sky is filled with clouds once again. We can expect a significant warm-up by Thursday of this coming week, then temps are supposed to be much warmer the week after. There were many tornadoes, as well as severe storms which produced damaging winds and large hail, and we had the chance of seeing some of that here in Michigan. Yesterday brought intermittent rain showers which even turned into hail around 3:30PM. It came down hard and covered the ground before it quit. After 7:05turning back to rain, it soon all melted. Yesterday morning began with rain, and it continued until late afternoon. Then the skies cleared and we had about two hours of sunshine. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long, and we received more rain overnight. Today is chilly once again and there are puddles standing everywhere. The river is high and over it’s banks in many places.
