A Little Rain Expected For Mid Michigan
Radar is showing some rain headed our way, and we could certainly use it. With the unseasonable heat that we have had, everything is drying out and lawns are brown. I think we are making up for our cool August this month. I don’t ever remember having to use the AC this late in the season. Highs are expected to rise to near the 90° mark later this week. Our trip to northern Michigan is coming up and I’m hoping that this lasts until we get home. I know, that’s asking a lot. With Hurricane Jose moving up the east coast, I’m thinking that this may become stationary for a while. Here’s hoping!
Our 10 AM temperature is 60.3°F (16°C), the humidity is 77%, and winds are from the north at 3 mph. The pressure is 30.02 in (1016.3 mb) and steady. Visibility is 10 miles and skies are cloudy. The dew point is 54°F (12°C). Yesterday’s high was 75°F (24°C) and the overnight low was 55°F (13°C). The average temps for this date are 72°F / 50°F. Record highs for Sept. 18 are 93°F (34°C) set in 1906, and the record low is 32°F (0°C) set in 1916.
DURAND – CORUNNA FORECAST:
Today: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and chance of a thunderstorm. Highs in the mid 70s. Light winds. Chance of rain, 40%.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 50s. Light SE winds.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy early, becoming partly cloudy late in the morning. Mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the low 80s. Light SE winds becoming S at 5-15 mph late.

Hi Cathie! Just read your bio, thanks for posting, I enjoyed reading it. Believe me, this blogging here is a lot of fun, and always a challenge, I am always learning something new. Right now, I was just trying to send you a general message, and this method here seems to be the only way I am seeing right now. I have tried Live Chat but it always tells me I must be a registered member, but I have been a registered member for a while now and if I say so, one of the more prolific bloggers here. I always enjoy feedback, but as is usually the case I don’t get much feedback except from Charlie. I need to work on getting more old weatherquackers on here, some may not know about it yet – Nathan said he messaged Josh sometime ago, but he still hasn’t shown up here at all yet. I miss his posts. I hope you will see this reply, and can reply back sometime. I have to check the bloggers map and see if you made it on there yet. As a lifelong professional cartographer I always enjoy and appreciate the depiction of data or information on a good map. Jeff Taylor is also a cartographer, we have a lot of similar interests and have known each other for over 20 years. Take care, Kevin
