More Much Needed Rain For Mid Michigan
Our Wednesday morning is beginning with light to moderate rain showers. I emptied 0.54″ from my gauge at 8 AM this morning and it has been raining ever since. It appears that this will last most of the day and that’s okay. This should really put a dent in the rain deficit that we have this autumn season. I don’t know if it will save our colors since we have very little. One meteorologist said that we are pretty much in our peak right now, and I find that very strange since there is hardly any color. The leaves have been drying up on the trees and falling with very little color change. I guess that’s the price we pay for the August-type weather that we have had the past month.
Our 9:20 AM temp is 50.9°F (11°C), the humidity is 90%, and we have steady, moderate rain. Visibility is 7 miles. Winds are from the NE at 7 mph. The pressure is 30.10 in (1019.0 mb) and steady. Yesterday’s high was 67°F (19°C) and the overnight low was 49°F (10°C).
