First Snowstorm of the Season – Mid Michigan
Yesterday brought moderate to heavy snow all day to Mid Michigan. We received 6.8 inches here of new snow leaving us with 8-9 inches of snow cover. There were many serious accidents closing I-69 from Durand east for a few hours. People were complaining that the roads were a glare of ice making driving very difficult. I was lucky that I didn’t have to go out. Needless to say, most schools are closed, and those that were open yesterday sent the kids home early. I don’t understand why they even had school yesterday with a Winter Storm warning issued.
