More Snow For Mid Michigan
Rain, freezing rain mixed with snow this morning. At least that’s what was predicted but that’s not what is happening. Most of the precip that we have is snow . . . . two inches so far and still snowing at a pretty good clip. Liquid measure is 0.50″ as of 8:30 AM. Originally we were only supposed to get a dusting or up to one inch, but it looks like Mother Nature has other ideas. At least we aren’t dealing with a lot of ice and I’m happy about that.
Our 9 AM temperature is 22.5°F (-5°C), the humidity is 88%, and winds are from the north at 13 mph. The wind chill is 11°F (-12°C). The pressure is 29.92 in (1012.9 mb) and rising. Skies are overcast with moderate snow falling. Visibility is less than quarter of a mile and the dew point is 20°F (-6°C). Yesterday’s high was a record 57°F (14°C) and the overnight low was 25°F (-4°C). Sunrise was at 8:05 AM and sunset will be at 5:25 PM. The record high for Jan. 12 was 55°F (13°C) set back in 1975. We beat that yesterday. The record low is -15°F (-26°C) set in 1984.
