Once Again, the Forecast Was Wrong – Mid Michigan
They said that we were only supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow and once again they were wrong. The heavy snow was supposed to remain east of us. In fact, we weren’t even in the snow advisory area. So why do we have 4 inches on the ground this morning? This has happened with every snow event that we have had this year. At least our local Meteorologist, Mark Torregrossa was honest. His last statement was that he was trying to figure it out and honestly didn’t know how much we would get. But it is what it is and this is not unusual for early March. At least we aren’t dealing with what they have in the east with Winter Storm Quinn.
Our 10:45 AM temp is 27°F (-2°C), the humidity is 86% and skies are cloudy with moderate snow still falling. The pressure is 29.73 in (1006.5 mb) and steady. Visibility is 0.3 miles and winds are WNW at 11 mph. Sunrise was at 7:03 AM and sunset will be at 6:33 PM. Yesterday’s high was 38°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 28°F (-2°C). Averages for this date are 37°F / 22°F.
