Another Round of Snow For Mid Michigan

There seems to be no end to this weather.  Just when we think that spring is here, Mother Nature reminds us that it is still too early for flowers and butterflies.  We had intermittent snow showers all day Wednesday and our snow cover is at 4 inches.  Forecasts are predicting another inch or so before it ends.  The robins and red wing blackbirds are probably wondering why they came back this soon.

Our 8:45 AM temperature is 28°F (-2°C), the humidity is 70% and we have cloudy skies with light snow.  Winds are from the west at 14 mph giving us a wind chill of 15°F (-9°C).  The pressure is 29.82 in (1009.5 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 1 mile.  Sunrise was at 7:02 AM and sunset will be at 6:35 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 33°F (0°C) and the overnight low was 23°F.

Averages for this date are 39°F / 21°F.  The record high for March 7 is 67°F set in 1983 and the record low is -2°F set in 1978.

Friday:  Snow flurries possible.  Partly cloudy with a high near 34°F.   Wind WNW at 9-14 mph, gusting 2o 21 mph.

Friday Night:  Partly cloudy with a low of 18°F.  Winds WNW at 6-8 mph.
