Overnight Thunderstorms Usher In Cooler Weather – Mid Michigan
After a very warm Wednesday, a line of thunderstorms moved through the state late last night dropping 0.47 inches of rain in my gauge. Although a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for a brief period of time, there was nothing here but a lot of rain and plenty of lightning. Our weather now will be much cooler for a few days with highs only in the 50s and lows near freezing. We did see a few peaks of sun earlier but now the clouds have taken over and it looks like we could get more rain.
Our 8:45 AM temperature is 62°F (17°C), the humidity is 66%, and skies are cloudy. Winds are from the west at 10 mph and the pressure is 29.76 in (1007.5 mb) and rising. The dew point is 54°F (12°C). Yesterdays’ high was 79°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 58°F (14°C). Averages for this date are 64°F / 44°F.
