A Very Warm Memorial Day Weekend For Mid Michigan
If we didn’t break a record yesterday, then we came very close. The official high was in the upper 80s but my thermometer, and the one in our car said 90°F. There were some showers and thundershowers that made their way across the state last night, but they totally missed my area which is fine. Our lawn is still saturated from the last round of rain that we had earlier this week. We continue to have a chance of rain today but the radar isn’t showing any approaching us at this time. The humidity is low so some may have evaporated before reaching the ground.
Our 10 AM temperature is 70°F (21°C), the humidity is 61%, and winds are calm. Skies are cloudy and the dew point is 60°F (15°C). The pressure is 20.80 in (1008.8 mb) and steady. Visibility is 10 miles and the heat index is 71°F (21°C). Yesterday’s official high was 88°F (31°C) and the overnight low was 68°F (20°C). Averages for this date are 69°F / 48°F. The record high for May 25 is 87°F set in 1975, and the record low is 32°F set in 1931. So a new record was set yesterday.
