Extreme Heat Continues For Mid Michigan and Much Of The Nation

I didn’t stick my head outdoors much yesterday and when I did, the heat was stifling.  I need to get out and do some work in my flower gardens but it won’t happen as long as this heat continues.  It doesn’t look like we’ll get any break the rest of this week, and I haven’t heard any predictions for next week either.  I wish our highs would stick around the 80° mark.  That’s perfect in my book.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 83°F (28°C), the humidity is 67% and skies are clear.  Winds are from the south at 6 mph and the dew point is 71°F (22°C).  The heat index is 88°F (31°C).  The pressure is 29.98 in and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was  93°F (34°C) and the overnight low was 75°F (24°C).  Sunrise was at 6:01 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.
