A Temporary Reprieve From The Heat Coming – Mid Michigan
July 4th brought some folks a little rain and in some cases, a lot of rain. We, however, received none. Most were small pop up storms which formed late in the afternoon but most were over in time for fireworks. Our lawn is really getting dry but at least it stopped growing. Thunderstorms are in the forecast for today and cumulus clouds are already forming and moving quickly from the west. Winds have also picked up since an hour ago but I’m not seeing any precip on radar at this time.
Our 10:30 AM temperature is 86°F (30°C), the humidity is 58% and skies are partly cloudy. Winds are from the west at 10 mph and the pressure is 30.21 in and steady. The dew point is 71°F (22°C) and visibility is 10 miles. The UV index is very high at 9. Yesterday’s high was 94°F (34°C) and the overnight low was 76°F (24°C). Averages for this date are 80°F / 58°F. Sunrise was at 6:03 AM and sunset will be at 9:18 PM.
