High Humidity, High Dew Points, And Fog For Our Early Sunday Morning – Mid Michigan
There was a trace of precip in my gauge this morning but I’m certain that it was from condensation, not rain. These past few days have been very uncomfortable with these high dew points, but at least the temps are a little cooler. There have been no significant rain events in the state except for some small cells which popped up over some areas, bringing heavy downpours and a little thunder. They were sparse and far between however. Classic auto shows are a big event here in Michigan this time of year and and these pop up showers haven’t dampened the enthusiasm for these event goers. Back To The Bricks Classic Car Show is happening now in Flint.
Our 11:15 AM temperature is 74°F (23°F), the humidity is 96% and skies are mostly cloudy. The pressure is 30.03 in and falling. The dew point is 72°F (22°C) and visibility is 10 miles. Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph. Yesterday’s high was 82°F (28°C), the overnight low was 62°F (17°C). Averages for this date are 80°F / 58°F. Sunrise was at 6:48 AM and sunset will be at 8:34 PM. The record high for Aug. 18 is 95°F (35°C) set in 1955, and the record low is 42°F (6°C) set in 1977.
