Calm After The Storms – Mid Michigan

Last night was very stormy in Michigan with many cleaning up the damage this morning.  Fortunately, all we got was heavy rain and a lot of thunder.  The central regions of the state seem to have the most damage.  Many trees are down and the roof blown off a house near West Branch.  Severe weather warnings and watches  were numerous last night, and I saw many CoCoRahs rain amounts this morning over 3 inches.  Needless to say, there are many flood advisories issued.  Today should be more quiet but there still is the chance for more rain.  My rain gauge showed 0.90″.

Our 11 AM temperature is 72°F, the humidity is 88%, and winds are from the west at 7 mph.  Skies are starting to clear and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.95 in and rising.  The dew point is 68°F.  Sunrise was at 6:59 AM and sunset will be at 8:18 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 87°F and the overnight low was 65°F.
