Dense Fog To Start Our Day – Mid Michigan
Our morning began with visibility close to zero, but now that the sun is up, it seems to be dissipating. Today should be the beginning of a significant warm-up for us with highs expected in the mid 70s. Hurricane Florence should keep a large high pressure center in place most of the week which will bring us wonderful weather. Our last trip to our campground is in another week and I’m hoping that this weather holds until we get back. The hurricane is making it’s way toward the Carolinas and people there are bracing for this very powerful storm. Unfortunately, those in adjoining states will be facing great amounts of rain and probable floods. At this time, we are not expecting any severe weather from it.
Our 9:15 AM temp is 55°F (13°C), the humidity is 100% and skies are partly cloudy with moderate fog. The pressure is 30.18 in and rising. The dew point is 55°F (13°C) and visibility is 0.25 miles. Winds are calm. Yesterday’s high was 64°F (18°C) and the overnight low was 50°F (10°C). The record high for Sept. 10 is 93°F set in 1952, and the record low is 35°F set in 1958.
