Heavy Rain Following A Beautiful Tuesday in Northern Michigan
Yesterday was a lovely day here in Topinabee, but heavy rain moved in shortly after 7 pm putting a damper on our evening campfire. I don’t have a rain gauge up here but I know that we must have gotten about half an inch. Little by little, our fellow campers are leaving each day and it is pretty quiet around here. My in-laws, who own the cabins on Lake Huron, will be leaving for Florida next week and it is time to close out another summer in northern Michigan. We will be having dinner with them tonight at Darrow’s in Mackinaw City, one of our favorite places to eat. As for us, we’ll be leaving for home on Saturday and I’m ready. the weather here has taken a downturn with much colder temps and the possibility of rain almost everyday.
Our 9:45 AM temp is 51°F (11°C), the humidity is 89%, and winds are from the NW at 14 mph. Skies are overcast and the dew point is 48°F (9°C). The pressure is 29.88 in (1011.8 mb) and rising. Yesterday’s high was 77°F (25°C) and the overnight low was 51°F (11°C). Averages for this date are 61°F / 51°F.
