The Possibility Of Severe Weather Today – Mid Michigan

With Hurricane Dorian dominating the headlines, Michigan could have it’s own drama unfolding if today’s forecast is accurate.  We have the possibility of strong to severe storms moving in late this afternoon.  My county has already had two tornadoes this year and I certainly hope that it doesn’t happen again today.  I feel so bad for the people in the Bahamas with what they’re going through.  It’s a nightmare to be sure.  I pray for their safety and that this storm will continue to stay well off the coast of Florida and other affected states.  I guess that’s the price to be paid for living in a warm climate area.

Our temperature at 9 AM is 65°F (18°C), the humidity is 87%, and winds are from the south at 10 mph.  Skies are overcast and the dew point is 63°F (17°C).  The pressure is 29.96 in (1014.6 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 82°F (28°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C).  Averages for this date are 80°F / 56°F.  Sunrise was at 7:02 AM and sunset will be at 8:08 PM.
